“ Excellent Vietnamese restaurant in Ancoats, Manchester. The service was quick and the staff friendly. We ordered Salt and Pepper Squid as a starter and some Beef Pho soup as the main course, along with some Vietnamese coffee (cold). It was delicious, so I'll go back to try some Vietnamese desserts in the future ”
“ Tasty food, good portion. Warm service. ”
“ The nicest staff and they made us banana fritters for dessert which wasn’t even on the menu. Loved the food and BYOB. Would definitely recommend! ”
“ Great little place to eat, food is top notch, and good vaule for money. Can bring your own alcohol in as well. It isn't the nicest looking place, but is clean and friendly. Me and the wife love this place! Plus free street parking available in the evenings. ”
“ Very nice experience at Pho No.1, my Vietnamese friend recommended this place to me and said it’s authentic. A bit far from the uni but definitely worth coming, it’s one of the best Vietnamese food I had in the UK! The staffs and the owner were kind and welcoming, definitely gonna go again ”
“ If you’re in Manchester and wanting to try fresh authentic Vietnamese food this place is a musttt, the place has great vegan and vegetarian options. We got the vegetarian starter to share and the tofu banh mi. The food was really affordable and the service was incredible , the host was so kind and genuine. The spring rolls and summer rolls were incredible and the papaya salad so fresh. Defo recommend !! Love love love ”
“ I’ve tried all of the Vietnamese restaurants close by and Pho No 1 tops the lot. I don’t know a great deal but good here tastes more homemade than the others. I tried the beef pho and fried noddles with chicken. Both excellent ”
“ Absolutely loved it. We was waiting for friends to come, whilst the waitress pushed us to order our food, it was in no way *rude* Excellent service and excellent food. Rare beef salad has too much beef!!! We added the salad from other food and mixed it into the salad which was so refreshing . Banh cuon the rice roll sheet must've been the thinnest I've ever had, so moorish. Not sure about the fried Vietnamese sausage. Rice Noodle main, had lots of veg, and little seafood... Didn't mind this at all. Overall food wasn't salty or filled with msg Vietnamese tea was excellent. Never had it before and the taste reminded me of pandan. Friends ordered rare beef pho and said the beef was so good and tender Banh xeo was also thin and crispy Highly recommend Loved the waitress straight up front approach ”
